The land of Fire and Steel is an old land. A land set in stubbornness, a land that refuses to change, a land that rejects magic and live only by might and honor. Here kings build castles and knights train to serve and conquer. Here outcast dragons come to make their home after being exiled from their lands, whether those lands are good or bad rarely matters, only that most of the dragons living here is rotten in some form or other. They aren't the strongest dragons either which may be why they chose a land where the only thing to fear where the knights. No magic creature, wizard or other dragons came here to bother them.

Junebug had traveled quite far from Equestria. She didn't know how far or even remembered most of her journey. She only remembered that she become tired a lot a long the way and had to keep pushing herself to continue and that she was now quite far away from the land she was born in. So was her determination that the journey and tired hooves didn't matter, only her destination mattered. Now she had arrived at her destination and it was time to face the first step on her quest. She stood in front of a large cave opening on a small mountain. Down below, hidden in the shadow of the cliffs she had made a small camp where she rested and gathered the nerve to set out for the cave. And now that she was finally here she only paused for a moment to think about how Bio must have felt exploring the world and facing its dangers.

ooc: Going to try and do Junebug's story here. You're welcome to bring in any character you like. The local setting though is Knights and Dragons. There are no wizards or soothsayers or anything living here, so it's a pretty bland place with normal humans living in a medieval setting. So any character you bring in that doesn't fit that description can't be a local, but comes from another land. You'll basically be helping me to progress if you bring in a character, but there's not really going to be much focus outside of Junebug's story.

The dragon watched her curiously as she entered the cave, lying lazily on a mount of branches and hay surrounded by a few gems. "This is a surprise." He said in a deep voice. "I felt your presence a while ago, but when I realized you were coming towards me I decided to wait and see how close you'd get to me and now here you are." "Because of the, um... catalyst thing?" Junebug asked the large dragon. It wasn't that large really, about three or four times her height lying down, but still large to her. "So you are aware about your destiny? I must admit, this makes me even more curious why you came here." The dragon replied. "Um... I don't now why I was born with this ability, I... I never wanted to be special like this." Junebug said taking the saddlebags off her back and putting them on the ground. "So you came for answers?" The dragon asked. "I'm afraid I don't know much more about your existence then most dragons. I only know about the wonderful prize you are and I must admit that feeling my power growing as you arrived is exhilarating." "I didn't came to talk to you." Junebug answered. "Then you came to give yourself up? What a lucky dragon I must be." Junebug opened her saddlebag. "Um... I came to make sure dragons never come near me and the ponies I love ever again." She put her mouth inside the bag and pulled out a dagger she held between her teeth.

OOC: Can I introduce a rogue character? Skulky but charismatic and always with an ulterior motive, though he hides it well. He'd want to either hunt or tame June, since a magical pony is beyond his comprehension. Up to you though. And I love how you've played it out this far.

ooc: Sure you can do that. You can introduce him, just not have him meet up with Junebug yet. I just have one other character I want to introduce that's a local here. Which... won't be right now, I'll post here later.

The dragon laughed. "Kill me? You're not that kind of pony, it's clear in your eyes. I doubt you'd even be able to hurt me." "I can learn." June said through the clenched dagger between her teeth. "The previous owner of this cave crafted a cage in the back for damsels in distress." The dragon kept laughing. "Why don't I put you in there." He reached down to grab June, but she jumped out of the way and to his surprise he only grabbed dirt. "Um... looks like you're a little slow." June smiled. The dragon again grabbed towards June, this time more forcefully and again she jumped out of the way. She ran passed his claw and to his tail, that was spread out in front of him, and plunged the knife into the thick of it. The dragon roared and reared up onto all fours and June barely had time to pull the knife out before the flapping of the dragon's wings knocked her over. "You insolent creature!" The dragon roared. "I was willing to treat you well, but not anymore!" "Don't fear! I shall save you!" Came a cry from the entrance of the cave. A knight wielding a sword and shield was standing there. He pointed his sword at the dragon. "Leave her be monster, I shall be your opponent." Without another word he rushed towards the dragon with sword raised. The dragon, already agitated by the events, whipped his tail around and hit the knight in the chest and off his feet. This however hurt the wound on it's tail and again the dragon roared. He attempted another grab at June as she got back to her feet and this time almost closed his claws around her before she jabbed the dagger into his palm and holding the hand at bay. Despite trying to push through the pain the dragon couldn't move the small pony and finally pulled his claw back and with another loud roar flapped his wings and flew out of the cave and towards the mountains. After she caught her breath and her heart settled to an uncontrollably pounding that shook her whole body, rather than feeling like a cannon fired inside her every time it beat, she walked over to the knight to find he was knocked out cold.

It wasn't until after Junebug had taken the knight back to her camp when he woke up. She had removed the helmet to make sure he was alright to find a young man beneath the heavy plates of armor. The knight slowly opened his eyes and then quickly sat up. "Where am I?" He asked out loud. "You're, um... here." Junebug said from across the camp. The knight looked at June before putting a hand on his chest where the dragon hit him. "Agh! That dragon got me good, I can't believe I went down so easily." He said standing up and testing his legs. June kept quiet as the knight recovered and turned towards her. "You're from Equestria?" He asked. "Um... yes. I am. Thanks for helping me." She said. "Help you? I couldn't do anything!" He swung his arm in frustration. "I'm never going to be a true knight like this." Junebug didn't say anything and the knight fell down into a sitting position looking at her. "Did you carry me down here?" "Um... yes." "That's righteous!" The knight exclaimed. "You saved my life. Ponies in Equestria must be really magical, I didn't know you could defeat dragons." "Um... I suppose." Junebug said pulling her saddlebag closer to get some food out. "I am called Richard." The knight continued. "May I ask your name?" "It's... Junebug." June answered. "Such a wonderful name. I must thank you for saving me, if there's anything I can help you with it would be done on my knight's honor." "Um... no, that's alright." June answered. "I didn't know the people here were familiar with Equestria." "Oh, we know about all the outside lands." Richard told her. "Equestria, Azaroth, Griffon Empire, Land of Ninjas and many more. Our land is a simple one, with no magic and very little technological progress, maintained that way by our king. As such everyday life does tend to become repetitive. So we have couriers that brings news from other lands. Specifically the newspapers. Granted we receive them much too late to stay up to date with current events it's still very entertaining to read. Indeed, many of our people leave the kingdom to go live in the lands they read about. Which is fine with the King as it keeps the population low and slows down progress. Those who stay here lead simple lives or train to become knights, like me. I'm a knight in training." Junebug took out some sandwiches. "Um... how old are you?" She asked when it seemed Richard had stopped talking. "I'm sixteen and have been since not too long ago." He answered. "That's so young." Junebug said surprised. "Not really. We train at being knights from a very young age. I'm actually behind in my progress. All my friends are already serving duty." Richard put a hand behind his head. "Ahh! If I can't finish my knight's training I may travel to some other land as well." Junebug handed a sandwich filled with fruit to Richard and kept one filled with flowers for herself. "Thank you. You are very kind. If I may be so bold, what were you doing in that dragon's liar?" "I, um... must have taken a wrong turn." She lied and bit into her sandwich.

The went to sleep, not saying much else after that and the next morning they got up early. "What's your destination?" Richard asked. "Let me lead the way there for you. As a knight I know every place in the kingdom." Junebug was hesitant for the company, but she didn't think she was going to persuade him to go their separate ways so simply told him. "I'm heading to town." "That's perfect!" Richard said. "The town isn't far away and I can get you there before midday. Just leave it to me." He said and after putting his helmet back on started marching towards the nearest town. Junebug sighed and followed after him.

ooc: Yeah, that's cool. Just not sure how you want them to meet up, so giving you time to be in town before they show up or I could first go to town if you want.

OOC: I was just saying you didn't have to wait for me. I'd post with or without you as I could work with either. I'm posting now, so just make sure I'm not breaking some of your head cannon. BIC: The town lit up a little as a caravan carrying trade supplies came into town. It had clearly come from far off and there was a little something for everyone to trade for, be it exotic delights for the wealthy or tools of the trade for the not so wealthy. Behind the wagon, the caravaneer (I like that word ) met up with two fighter looking guys, one armed to the teeth with scale mail and the other armed more meagerly and sporting a fanciful leather armor set. It almost didn't look like armor. They were each handed a pouch full of gold pieces and sent on their way. As the two turned to leave, they both tripped over the leather wearers feet and fell to the ground. The heavily armed man groaned and punched the fancy one in the arm before spitting a few insults sprinkled with "watch were you're going!" in there somewhere. He picked up his pouch and walked on, latching it to his waist. The leather chap slowly picked himself up, dusted himself off, and rubbed his sore arm as he want to pick up the two pouches he'd been laying on, both his and the fighters share of the profits. The Fighter would likely be upset to find the bag of copper instead of gold. Slipping both into his messenger bag, you could see the glint of other goodies he'd pinched from the caravan and he then made his way, his victims none the wiser. After such a successful trip, he figured he'd treat himself to a drink at the local tavern. And so he did. OOC: That a good intro?

ooc: yep, that's good.
"Um... Thank you, but I can find my way from here." Junebug told Richard as they stood at the entrance of the town. "Are you sure?" Richard asked. "I'd be glad to be your guide." "No, it's fine." June insisted. "I'll just be doing some shopping and finding a place to sleep. You'll be bored if you had to guide me around and I'm sure you have more knightly things to do." "If you're sure." Richard said uncertain. "Well, it was nice to meet you Junebug, I hope we see each other again some day." He waved as he started off. "Yes, thanks for the help Richard." June waved back with a sigh of relief. She then followed the street to the nearest grocer.
